OOTD: Legs Out

The Coat

It’s been a pretty crazy weekend, I have been trying to do some life-admin and have a clear out and tidy up. It’s amazing how some things date and other things go on and on and on. Speaking of which, it feels so nice to be able to get out my Burberry Trench again! It’s such a classic and it’s so easy to wear, I am super tempted to buy myself a navy blue one soon….

The Legs

In the same way that Taylor Swift never shows her belly button (seriously, this is a huge topic of conversation for gossip magazines) I rarely show my legs. I feel so self conscious of how pale they are and keeping them looking silky smooth is a real challenge. As a result, I tend to hide them under thick black tights which is really limiting when it comes to my shoe decisions. I am currently taking part in Braun’s ‘30 Days of Switch Up Your Style’ challenge and using Braun Silk-épil to keep my legs en-point. Epilators are by far my favourite way to keep my legs smooth, the regrowth is slower than shaving, with no horrific stubble. It’s also cheaper, faster and easier than going to a salon to get your legs waxed. I have three epilators and the Braun Silk-épil is by far my favourite, it’s just faster and more effective than my others. I switched up my style by getting my legs out and rediscovering shoes I rarely wear as they don’t work with black tights, why not try switching up your style this month?

The Shoes

My shoes are by Vivienne Westwood as part of their gold labels. These shoes are made to order and I can remember ordering them and patiently waiting 6 weeks for them to be made. I bought them about five years ago and I have rarely worn them as I think they look better with bare legs, proof of how rarely I show my pins! Great items never go out of style!
