Regular readers might have noticed my recent obsession with violets. I’m not sure what happened, it was like I woke up one morning and thought ‘OMG!!! I love Violets!’, it was almost like I had been listening to subliminal messages in Josie & The Pussycats music. Whatever it is, I’m head-over-heels for Violets and I was pretty darned excited when I found out Marc Jacobs had made a limited edition Violet perfume.
Top Notes: bergamot, green apple and kumquat.
Heart Notes: Violet, lily, jasmine, magnolia.
Base Notes: Patchouli, Vanilla.
Marc Jacobs Violet is super pretty, it’s very *Marc Jacobs* and it’s a real crowd pleaser. It’s not a heavy hit of violet, instead it’s a subtle, simple note wrapped up inside a fruity, floral perfume. If you are a fan of Marc Jacobs perfumes, you will love this and I personally prefer it to the classic Daisy. In fact, it’s my favourite Marc Jacobs perfume I have ever tried. I have an feeling that violet perfumes will be a huge trend in perfumes soon and Marc Jacobs Violet is beautifully crafted to make it a really accessible scent. How would I describe it? Classic Marc Jacobs with a sweet, fabulous violet twist.
A Little Shimmer…
Let’s be honest, Marc Jacobs Violet is exiting! In fact, even the bottle is brilliant, it’s a piece of iridescent, opalescent joy with pearls on top! Some girls collect Marc Jacobs perfume bottles because they are so pretty and this one is perfection. What makes it even more exciting is that this perfume is only available via World Duty Free, so you will be the envy of all your gal-pals.
Next time you are heading on holiday, make sure you get to the airport nice and early to do some shopping. This isn’t the only exclusive product World Duty Free boast, they actually have a pretty amazing selection of exclusives by great brands. I don’t think I need to mention the favourable prices either, in fact, it’s almost an excuse to book a holiday…
