I have been a fan of Liz Earle skin care for many years now, but it wasn’t until recently I discovered Liz Earle has a small collection of perfumes. One of my favourites has to be, Botanical Essence No. 15, it’s dark, woody and spicy with a touch of floral sweetness. It really is fabulous and if you haven’t tried it, you must! It seems a lot of my twitter followers also love this perfume and they recommended I should try Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 100. Which is a good opportunity for me to thank everyone for not just reading my blog and taking note of my recommendations, but also getting in touch to give me theirs, it means a lot!
Botanical Essence No.100
Botanical Essence No. 100 was originally created as a limited edition perfume in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Chelsea Flower Show. By popular demand, it was re-released as a permanent part of the fragrance collection. As you would expect from the inspiration, this perfume is a floral perfume with a wonderful hit of zesty mandarin.
Notes
Top Notes: Mandarin, Bergamot
Heart Notes: Damask rose, Orange flower and Indian jasmine
Base Notes: Cypress, Sandalwood and Bourbon vanilla
My Thoughts
Botanical Essence No. 100 is a fresh, floral explosion! As one would expect from Liz Earle, this perfume smells perfectly natural, just like the fruit and flowers have been harvested and put straight into the bottle. The flowers dance around with the fresh citrus and they perfectly balance each other to be neither too floral, nor too fruity. It’s bright, fresh, joyful and sophisticated. Just like her skin products, it feels fresh and clean, but with a floral citrus punch. It smells like a warm Summer’s morning at Chelsea Flower Show, a light breeze which carries the scent of new wood, picnics, summer dresses, excitement, then you stop by a garden bursting with orange blossom and jasmine, imagine taking a deep breath. Botanical Essence No. 100 is what that moment would smell like!
Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.100 is available from the Liz Earle Online as well as selected stockists. You might also want to read my review of Botanical Essence No. 15 and Botanical Essence No. 20, which are also fabulous!
