Don’t you just love a Limited Edition? It’s an opportunity to get a twist on a classic, not only a variation on the original product which you love so much, but also a new interpritation on the packaging too. Last Summer I blogged about the stunning Boucheron Perfume Place Vendôme, which is a stunning fresh, floral fragrance. Inspired by early mornings in Paris, the first beams of light on the cobbled roads and the fresh breeze sweeping over flowers.
This Summer, Boucheron have given Place Vendôme a little make-over. The elegant glass bottle has been transformed into a glossy white gold with a gold accent lid. More importantly the fragrance has a few extra notes, Williams Pear in the top note and Pomegranate in the heart note.
Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Orange Blossom, Rose Essence, Williams Pear
Heart Notes: Pomegranate, Peony, Jasmin Petals, Honey
Base Notes: Cedarwood, Benjoin
I loved the original, it’s gorgeously pretty with it’s fresh floral vibes on a woody base. This White Gold edition still has the same early morning beauty of the original, but this time there is a sparkling top note of pear and the fruity moodiness of pomegranate. For me, it makes the perfume a little fuller and more exciting. The original is beautiful, but this edition excites me more. The pear is fresh and fabulous and the pomegranate is a soft hum of delicious darkness. It’s still early morning Paris from a high Balcony, but this time you have a little breakfast to go with it! One spray is all you need as it’s heavily concentrated, so this bottle will last for ages. Plus, I’m obsessed with the bottle! It’s so thick and heavy, it’s the pride of any dressing table and it’s almost like an old fashion cocktail shaker. J’adore!
