I have been a fan of Liz Earle skin care for years now, but it is only recently I have discovered her beautiful perfumes. In particular, Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 15. Today I want to chat about Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 20… Let’s Go!
Liz Earle 20
To celebrate 20 years of Liz Earle beauty, the brand have released a new fine frangrance inspired by the founders love of roses. Rose is the most precious of all the essential oils and it is an important ingredient in natural skincare as rose oil helps balance and sooth skin. As you might know, I’m a huge fan of rose fragrances and this one is a stunner!
Notes
Top notes: Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Rose Water, Mandarin
Heart Notes: Turkish Rose Absolute, Carrot, Jasmine
Base Notes: Amyris, Sandalwood, Vanilla
My Thoughts
Whilst many rose based perfumes are quite heavy and heady, Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 20 is much lighter and fresher. It opens with a burst of fresh citrus mandarin and bergamot, which blends beautifully with the rose, jasmine and sandalwood. The pink pepper adds a tiny hint of spice and mystery to the fragrance. The over all feel of the perfume is fresh, pink florals and rose, it’s delightful! Personally, I would consider it much more of a day perfume than evening perfume. If you love a rose fragrance, but you want something a little less heady and rich, then this could be the perfect perfume for you as it’s far more delicate and fresh than you might expect. As for the bottle, I love the pink twist on the classic Liz Earle blue or cream! A breathe of fresh air and every inch as perfect as you would hope from a brand like Liz Earle! I love it!
