The new fragrance by Penhaligon’s, No.33 was created in celebration of the 145th Anniversary of the brand. It is a homage to the founder, William Penhaligon, who began his barbers at No.33 St James’s Street in 1870 selling fragrances and grooming preparations for gentlemen.

As part of this launch, Penhaligon’s have created a beautiful new fragrance, as well as a mens grooming range. Both my boyfriend and I are huge fans of Penhaligon’s, Cornubia is one of my all time favourite perfumes, my boyfriend wears Satorial nearly every day and Violetta is my current perfume obsession. I enlisted my boyfriend to help me with this post, after all, he is far better equipped to talk about mens grooming that I could ever be!
No. 33
Penhaligon’s No. 33 collection includes a Cleanser, Face & Beard Scrub, Moisturiser and Eye Cream, as well as the Cologne. The fragrance is a crisp citrus scent which is fresh, herby and aquatic. It’s traditional and clean, yet modern.
Notes
Top notes: Bergamot, Orange, Grapefruit, Armoise, Coriander, Clary Sage, Cypress
Heart Notes: Lavender, Violet, Black Pepper, Ginger, Jasmine, Rose, Muguet, Geranium, Saffron, Cardamom
Base Notes: Amber, Vetiver, Musk, Moss, Tobacco, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Cedarwood
Scrub
A wonderfully invigorating scrub which left his skin feeling polished and soft, perfect preparation for a close shave. For those men who rock a beard, this scrub would penetrate the facial hair to give the pores a deep clean. The scrub granuals are coarse and micro-fine, just the way he likes them!
Cleanser
An uplifting cleanser which has more prominent citrus notes. It left his skin clean and fresh. It foams nicely on the skin and easy to remove with a few splashes of water.
Moisturiser
This moisturiser is almost fragrance free, it is light and easy to apply. It aborbs almost instantly and leaves the skin soft to touch and non-greasy, especially after a close shave.
Eye Cream
A light yet nourishing eye cream. It soaks in fast and leaves his eye area bright and diffuses dark circles. Again, this cream is fragrance free.
My man loves this new Penhaligon’s No. 33 Mens Grooming Collection, he loves the fresh, uplifting fragrance of the cologne, and the skin care products stand up next to any other luxury mens grooming products, with the added benefit of the wonderful fragrance. He loves this collection, he just wishes there was a shaving foam or shave serum in the range too.
