Summer is approaching and as a result I have been mixing up my perfumes to introduce slightly more fresh, fruity scents. I have been loving Annick Goutal Eau de Charlotte, which is like sophisticated blackcurrant jam. I have also been loving the sharp yet pretty Jo Malone London Plum Blossom.
More recently, I have been really loving Boucheron Quatre. I hate to sound shallow, but what originally drew me to this perfume was the name. Why? Because I love the Quatre ring by Boucheron. It’s beautiful, yet edgy and I wish it was part of my jewellery collection. When I saw they have a perfume called Quatre, I knew I had to try it! The Quatre ring is inspired by Paris, the cobbles on the roads and the smooth reflections of the windows. It’s a beautiful ring and the bottle top reflects the design. (If only I could pull it off and wear it right?!)
As for the scent, like the ring, it is beautiful and luxurious. It is fresh and fruity, with Orange and Red currant, blended with heady Rose and pretty Jasmine. As for the base notes, that’s where the real luxury comes in; Wood, Amber, Musk, Cashmere and Vanilla. Like the ring, it’s pretty with an edge.
Head note: Bitter Orange, Red Currant Sparks
Heart note: Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute
Base note: Golden Woods, Musk
Boucheron Quatre perfect for Summer; it’s pretty, fresh and floral, whilst still being super luxurious and beautiful. I’m still obsessed with owning the namesake ring, but until it’s mine, I will happily settle for this beautiful perfume!
