Every time I pass the Kiko Cosmetics store in Oxford Circus, London, I always notice how busy the shop is. It doesn’t matter what time of the day it is, or which day of the week it is, it is always busy. People love Kiko Cosmetics and it is huge in Europe, yet here in the UK, they are a relatively unknown cosmetics brand.
I have a few pieces of Kiko Cosmetics and I thought it would be fun to share a few of my thoughts on the brand. First of all, I LOVE their Lip Markers, it’s basically a felt tip for lips which you can wear alone, or you can wear as a lipliner like I do. It gives a super long lasting colour on your lips and whilst it doesn’t give a fabulous finish, it does colour your lips so effectively that when your lipstick starts to wear off throughout the day, it protects your lips from that dreaded half-on-half-off look.
I also love the eyeshadows, I have a stunning rose gold eyeshadow which is a really beautiful colour. The shimmer is so pretty and the rose gold is the exact shade I want. It lasts well and it works well. Whilst it doesn’t come with an accompanying eyeshadow brush, I think we all have a spare one at home!
The face powders are also really good, they are really translucent on the skin, they barely give any coverage, but what they do is set your foundation and take away any unwanted shine. Perfect for when you want to freshen up your make-up in the afternoon. These powders also come in an amazing selection of colours, including super light which is perfect for me.
As for the Bronzers, if you like a little contour with a lack of shimmer, the Kiko Cosmetics do some great blushers and bronzers. Again, they don’t come with a brush, but if you don’t have a spare one at home, you can buy them separately in store.
Another product I wanted to mention is their eyeliner, it is a pen applicator, which is my favourite way to apply eyeliner and it gives a nice solid line which is heavily pigmented. If you want something a little more glam-o, then Kiko Cosmetics do make some really fun glittery eyeliners which are perfect for parties and festivals. I don’t have any myself, but they do have a great selection of colours and when I tried them on my hand, they looked nice and glittery with fine particles of glitter, which is much more comfortable than when the glitter is in big chunks. Similarly, if you want to try out some bright eyeshadows in pinks, blues, greens and yellows, but you don’t want to heavily invest in them, then you should consider buying them from Kiko Cosmetics. They are a great price and they do a whole range of colours which heavily pigmented and perfect for parties or festivals.
Kiko Cosmetics make basics on a budget, everything is a great price and works well. Whilst the packaging isn’t stunning and you don’t get the extras like brushes included, it’s probably the reason they manage to keep the costs down. Everything I have tried has been really good and I will be going back for more!
Have you tried Kiko Cosmetics yet?
