Beauty: Lush Cosmetics

lush cosmetics oxford street store flagship fashion beauty blogger review

I have been a fan of Lush Cosmetics for years now, every Christmas I race to buy a bottle of Snow Fairy and I still miss the Never Be Too Busy to be Beautiful collection of make up. This month saw the opening of the new Lush store in central London and I literally spent 3 hours there! I think it is the longest I have ever spent in a store which isn’t a department store with a restaurant. In short, the new Lush store is amazing!!!!

This new store is basically a department store of all things Lush. Everything you can imagine from skincare, body care, haircare, make up, soaps, bath bombs, bath truffles, perfumes, face masks, gifts and so much more. There are over 200 products in this store which are exclusive to Lush Oxford Street, including the make up collection. Those who remember Never be too busy to be beautiful, will remember how beautiful the make up and packaging was. Whilst the packaging isn’t quite as jewelled as it was back then, the make up quality is just as good, if not better. The Lush Make up range is only available in this Oxford Street store, so if you want it, come get it!

There is also a Lush Spa, which of course, is not your average spa treatments. Some treatments include wearing tartan pyjamas, listening to The Beatles and having your palm read. Not even kidding! I am going to book in for a spa treatment soon, so I will share my experience when I do.

The top floor is basically a homage to bath bombs, gift sets and Fun. When I say Fun, I mean their putty-like soaps which are called Fun. There is even a children’s play area when you can sit down with you children and mould multi-coloured soap into different shapes. Pretty awesome right?

Did you know Lush have a perfume collection called Gorilla Perfume? It is all available in this store, as well as an sensory exhibition where you can experience the perfume as a tour where you hear about the inspirations behind the perfume, smell the scents and hear music which relates to the perfume. It’s a full experience!

I wouldn’t normally blog about a store opening, but this a shop like no other, you can spend hours in here and it is just so much fun. Oh and one thing I mentioned, all Lush staff are so happy, they are just so excited to be working there and talking about Lush products. It really must be one of the nicest places to work, they are all so happy and so friendly! I think they may be pumped up on all the sweetness and joy!

Take a look at my pictures and next time you are in Central London, make sure you pop in, it’s the most fun shopping experience you will have in a while! You can find the new Lush Oxford Street shop at 175 – 179 Oxford Street, London W1D 1JS.

I love the photos here 🙂 I could have written the intro myself – I’ve been a Lush fan since the old Lush forum days when they made us special perfumes and we had our names put on tote bags. I miss BNever every time I use my BNever powder brush. I miss the glitter that used to float through the air in the Covent Garden branch. Snow Fairy has become more of a tradition at Christmas than Christmas trees – a Christmas never passes without a big bottle being stashed away. I’ll have to check out the new store, thanks 🙂

The spa sounds super fabulous. I have to admit that I really want to like Lush, the stores are so pretty (your pics are beautiful) but I can’t get past the scent, it’s just way too strong for me.
