Beauty Launch: Decléor Aroma Nutrition

Heritage

Decléor (originally named ‘Cleor’) was founded just over 40 years ago by two visionary women; Caroline Colliard, the Aromatherapist and Solange Dessimoulie, the beauty therapist. Together they began creating products and treatments which combined their beauty and holistic knowledge. They were heavily inspired by Egyptian Oil remedies and always kept their products natural. Decléor are pioneers, they have changed the way we look at skin care, as they were the first brand to ever combine skin care with Aromatherapy.

Aroma Nutrition

Decléor’s new range Aroma Nutrition is the new sensorial body care collection which is designed to care for your skin at every stage and leave you feeling great on the inside and outside. A key ingredient in the range is Frankincense essential oil, which is known for it’s regenerating, soothing and heeling properties. It has a beautiful and powerful scent, which is also incredibly good for your skin. This ingredient is used throughout the range.

Within this collection you will find an exfoliator, dry oil, body cream, body oil and body balm. I was given the opportunity to try them all out recently at a Decléor event and it is an incredible range. The Aroma Nutrition Exfoliator is a particular favourite of mine, it leaves your skin so soft and smooth, yet it has an oil base so it is hydrating. It is a beautiful scrub and it’s on my current beauty wish list! Another product I loved from the collection is the Aroma Nutrition Body Balm. It is Shea butter based and contains frankincense, tamanu and macadamia oils. It smells like a dream and the texture is beautiful as it is so soft it just melts into your skin. You can use it as a massage balm to rub into sore shoulders or tired calves, or you could use it as a luxurious body moisturiser. Another one which at the top of my current beauty wish list!

Also, the Decléor Aroma Nutrition Dry Oil is an amazing multi-purpose product as is can be used on the face, body or hair. It’s a great product to take away on holiday as it is super nourishing and a real space saver. I have been using this as a body oil when I come out of the shower each morning, it soaks in fast and leaves me skin soft and supple. I have also been putting it on the ends of my hair where it is most damaged from the excessive bleach I have used over the years. I have always chosen blonde hair over healthy looking hair, but this Aroma Nutrition Dry Oil has definitely improved the condition of my hair in just a few weeks. I can’t wait to see how it looks after long term use!

Cult Products

At the heart of the Decléor’s brand is their Aromessence super serums and balms. My personal favourite is Aromessence Néroli, a beautiful serum which you can use morning and evening. Just two drops is all you need, you warm it in your palms and then gently massage over your face and neck before applying day cream. I personally concentrate it on my cheeks as they are my driest part and my neck (I always worry about getting an aged, saggy neck when I am older). It is a pleasure to use and really boosts hydration, especially to my dry cheeks.

Mens

I was always aware of the Decléor brand, but my first introduction to their products actually came from my boyfriend. Their Mens shaving range is legendary amongst men who love grooming products, he swears by them as the best on the market. I keep meaning to do a full blog post about the range, but if your man needs some new shave products, Decléor is the one!
