A few days ago, I went for afternoon tea with my blogging BFF Adorn Girl as part of our #TuesdaysIsTreatday fun. After we ate a lot of sandwiches, scones and cakes, I asked her to take a few snaps of my OOTD for me. I was so full I could barely move, but I really want to show off my new Michael Kors handbag!
Double Bagging
Has anyone ever said to you ‘Why do you own so many handbags? You can only carry one at a time?’. Well, that is no longer the case! I have noticed a recent trend of women carrying two handbags. I don’t mean a small handbag and a big, shabby canvas tote bag, I mean two handbags. One which is tiny, cute and worn as a cross body bag, with the second being a regular large sized handbag. Last season we would have worn one or the other, this season we are wearing both. Why carry one handbag, when you can carry two?! It’s a look I’m into!
Michael Kors
I love wearing tiny little handbags, but the reality is, you can’t fit much in them. It’s fine when you are going to a fancy restaurant and all you need is lipstick, iPhone and bank card (well, not even that if your chap is a gentleman!). I instantly fell in love with this adorable little Michael Kors orange mini handbag and for a split second, I wondered if I would be able to get much use out of it, and then I remembered the double bag trend and it was mine! I love the tiny size, chain detailing, durable leather and the pop of colour. It’s all pretty darn perfect!
Where is it all from?
Michael Kors Mini Orange Handbag (via Harvey Nichols) / Burberry Trench Coat
Chanel Pearl Print Scarf / Chanel Brooch / ASOS Black Dress / The Leather Satchel Co.
Pretty Polly Tights / Hush Puppies boots (Via Schuh)
🙂 What a great combination – the tiny orange and the large black bag, all well paired with your outfit.
I hope you had a lovely afternoon. You have no idea how much I’d love to go for tradition English Afternoon Tea!!!
Have a good evening 🙂
Love the colour of the bag!
