Bali
I figured if I was going all he way to Bali, I should really travel in style. After all, I was lucky enough to be flown there Business Class and staying in the most beautiful luxury resort. I could hardly turn up with scruffy luggage!
Long Haul
The flight from London to Singapore is 12 hours, followed by another 3 hours to Bali. I normally try and pack light when it comes to hand luggage but this is no short flight and I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed with me, from moisturisers to flight pillows, iPad to jewellery. This is one occasion I didn’t hold back with hand luggage!
Research
After a lot of online research I decided on a beautiful Ted Baker flight case. It has four wheels making it super easy to wheel around. The hard shell case protects everything I need and looks sleek. The case comes in black or cream, but I thought the black is more my style and I knew if I was to get any marks or scratches over time it wouldn’t be as obvious as the cream. It also has a built-in security lock, so no need to buy a padlock and risk loosing your keys!
Design
I love the floral design on the outside and the fun tropical bird print on the inside of the case. The rose gold hard wear is really lovely but my favourite detail has to be the button detail on the wheels!
Buy Cheap, Buy Twice
I really believe buying cheap luggage is a false economy. There is nothing worse than being jet-lagged and grumpy and the wheels breaking so you end up dragging the suitcase through the airport with brute force and a lot of effort. Nor do you ever want the zip to break at 5am when you are packing away your pyjamas on the morning of your flight home. This Ted Baker suitcase feels really sturdy and it was effortless to wheel around the airport too. If anything does ever go wrong, all Ted Baker cases come with a five year warranty which is pretty amazing! I have had suitcases which have broken after one or two flights and cost about half the price. Spending a little more on your luggage is always worth it!
Oh and if you like the pink bag in the photos, that is by MCM Worldwide, it’s my current favourite handbag! Happy travels!
All photos taken with the Olympus Pen E-PL7, it is small light and user friendly, yet takes a great picture with no editing. It is the perfect on-the-go camera!
Have had a wheel break off before and it is not fun!! Love this suitcase! Gona look into it 😉 Great post!
Such a gorgeous suitcase and I’m loving that pink handbag too!
The pink handbag is amazing! I’m still getting over the business class to Bali part…sounds awesome! Now for the bag. Love it!!! I also love that it’s eye catching which means that it will never blend in with a thousand other bags!
