Pre-loved designer: StyleJump

There are so many great reasons to buy pre-loved designer clothing, not only do you get a great deal, buy you also get an opportunity to buy special something that you missed out on first time round (and have spent the last five years regretting). I recently discovered StyleJump which is Irelands first pre-owned designer resale boutique. The buyers only select pieces from luxury and premium designers and they make sure everything is in perfect or pretty darn good condition!

StyleJump have a showroom in Dún Laoghaire, the suburban seaside town on the east coast of Ireland. If you are not based near their showroom, you can always shop online with them instead (which is what I did). Everything is really well photographed and described and they have an amazing selection of brands and products too. As I was scrolling through they website I found about 10 items I wanted to buy, and the prices were really reasonable too for such special items.

It has been said that every woman has about £500 worth of designer clothing in their wardrobe which has never been worn. I actually think it is more, I am embarrassed to admit how many beautiful bags and shoes I have bought and never worn. Sometimes you just fall in love with an item and don’t consider the height of the heel, or the tricky colour. If you are wanting to sell any of your unwanted designer clothing, StyleJump might be a good avenue to explore, they collect your approved items, professionally photograph them and sell them for you and give you 52% of the sale price. They do all the hard work for you and you still get a good amount of cash for your unwanted items.

For the last couple of years I have been regretting not buying this Kenzo clutch when I first saw it. Each season I have kept my eyes open for something similar that I loved, but nothing grabbed me quite like this print. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found one brand new (still with tags) on the StyleJump website for just 50euros. Much less than I would have paid for it originally and it felt so much more special as it was such a lucky find!

That’s the thing about pre-owned and pre-loved items, you often get them for a cheaper price, yet they feel more special. It also takes the risk factor out of it, as stores like StyleJump are so careful to only deal with authentic items, They will never run the risk of selling a fake, which means you don’t have to worry about buying one!

I made a little wish list of some of my favourite things from the StyleJump website, what’s your favourite thing?
