Harajuku Lovers is a perfume line created by Gwen Stefani, however, it is not a celebrity name-sake perfume line, it is more of a perfume brand which happens to be created by a celebrity. There is a difference!
It’s no secret Gwen loves a little Harajuku, her debut solo album Love Angel Music Baby was filled with references to Harajuku / Japan / Kawaii / Japanese fashion brands. Harajuku Lovers is the name of the perfume brand and this scent is called ‘Love’ from the ‘Pop Electric’ collection. Each perfume within the ‘Pop Electric’ collection comes in a bottle which looks like a little figurine, much like this one. Each one is a different character and has been made to look like it has been dipped in a different coloured metallic paint. I personally think the hot pink one is the best!
The bottle is quite spectacular, if you are a collector of perfumes and love the keep them as ornaments, this is one you will want to own as it is really fun and unusual. The perfume is stored in the white square base and the white and pink figurine is the lid.
This perfume is perfect for a teenage girl. The bottle is so cute and it’s destined to be on display in a girls bedroom. The scent is sweet, fruity and floral. It has notes of top notes of apples and pears, heart notes of jasmine and base notes of musk and cashmere. Personally I think it smells like pears and apples with a little floral and musk. I can’t really detect the cashmere and I think the pears are stronger than the apples. I like it because it’s pretty, fruity and young. It smells fresh and fun, rather than sweet and obnoxious.
This perfume is super cute, I’m a little old for it, but I will finish the bottle and I would buy it for a younger girl for her christmas/birthday. I would have gone crazy for it when I was younger, I wish it had been released when I was a teenager, it would have been on the top of every birthday wish list.
