For my last birthday, my lovely boyfriend treated me to a Cartier Love ring. I absolutely adore it and I haven’t taken it off my finger since I got it. I know it’s not quite the same, but I thought my boyfriend might appreciate a little Cartier too. I’m not sure I can quite splash the cash on a pair of Cartier cufflinks right now, but I thought it might be nice to treat him to a little perfume, Eau de Cartier Vetiver Bleu.
Vetiver is one of my boyfriends favourite notes in a cologne, he loves the fresh woody citrus scent of it. It is more sophisticated than other citrus scents and blends beautifully with other scents.
Eau de Cartier Vetiver Bleu is a blend of vetiver, mint, liquorish, wood and spice. Creating a fresh and masculine scent which is both clean and warm.
So what does he think? Well, first of all, for a eau de toilette, this cologne lasts all day long. It’s beautifully fresh, it hits you at first with a lovely fresh citrus zing of the vetiver and mint. The mint is fresh mint leaves with the woody stems still attached. The soft spicy notes warm up the scent and add depth to the cologne. Best of all though, there is a touch of sweetness from the liquorish which really add something special to the cologne. For those men who don’t like heavy oud based scents, this is much fresher and lighter. It’s a Summer cologne which is perfect for the day time. While it is fresh and light, it still has a fullness and depth of scent which makes it sophisticated.
