New Beauty launch: Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

A few months ago I was invited to the press preview of a new Nars product and kind of blown away by how good it was. I was sworn to secrecy about the product until the launch date and I am excited that it is finally here! Drum roll please! Introducing… Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation.

Nars Foundation Review

This Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is oil-free, the consistency is fluid and just a small amount covers your whole face. In fact, the pump has been designed so that one squeeze of the pump, is the exact amount you need to cover your whole face. The effect is exactly what you would expect from Nars. It reduces redness, gives you a flawless and healthy look, without covering freckles or giving you that ‘heavy foundation’ look.

I hate that feeling of heavy foundation on my skin and I will often avoid using liquid foundation and use powder instead. This foundation is so light on my skin that I have forgotten I am wearing it and I don’t feel the need to scrub my skin clean as soon as I walk in the door at night either.

Colours and Tones

I am a pale skinned girl and quite a lot of foundations are too dark for me, even the palest shades of some brands can be too dark and give me that  frightful ‘orange’ look. Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation comes in an impressive 20 shades, so you can match the shade to your skin tone perfectly, no matter what your skin colour and ethnicity.

Personally, I think we are looking at a new iconic foundation range, I’m convinced by it and I think the rest of the world will be too! Kudos to Nars for creating this product, it not only looks and feels great, but it also comes in an amazing selection of tones.

Tilda Swinton is the face of the campaign and she looks incredible. Also, Nars have just appointed make up artist Andrew Gallimore, so it will be really exciting to see the work they create together!
