London fashion Week is over, which means London Fashion Weekend is upon us.
So what’s the difference between the two? LFW an industry event and it is a preview of the designer collections for next season. LFWend is a fun event for the public. It’s a similar set-up; Glamour, fashion shows and British designers, but it is a shopping event and most brands have shopping incentives and/or fun activities going on!
My friends at Sunglass Hut invited me down to London Fashion Weekend to see what they were up to. Sunglass Hut always know how to host an event and they make everything a lot of fun. This season they have set up a really fun photo booth where they have simulated a ‘frow’ situation and you can get photos of yourself posing on the front row. Don’t forget to pose with a super-cool pair of sunnies!
The Sunglass Hut styling team are on hand to give you styling advice. They will help you find sunglasses to try on depending on what your personal style and face shape is and then they will give you impartial advice on what suits you. Finding the perfect size and shape of sunglasses can be hard, so it’s great to get advice from professionals.
London Fashion Weekend is held at Somerset House in London (nearest tube station is Charing Cross). The event is on from 26th Feb – 1st March and the opening times can be found here. There are different ticket options to choose from, so figure out if you are there for the catwalk shows or the shopping and buy your ticket accordingly.
Aside from the Sunglass Hut shop, there are some other great designers selling their wares at London Fashion weekend, my personal favourites are Mawi, Kate Sheridan, Lucy Choi, Miista, Markus Lupfer, Ottoline and Pringle. Check out the full list here.
Enjoy the day and don’t forget to visit Sunglass Hut, they have the most amazing selection of sunglasses by Ray Ban, Prada, Miu Miu, Tiffany, D&G, Tom Ford and more! It’s like a candy store for grown ups!
