Stuff Not Selfies
While 2014 was the year of the #selfie, I have a feeling 2015 will be all about the flatlay. Personally, I’m not the kind of girl who takes selfies and posts them all over my instagram, in fact, this never happens. I don’t have a problem with it, it’s just not my style, I’m too insecure! So while everyone else spent last year looking flawless in selfies, I was getting into just photographing really cute and unusual things. Be it food, handbags, make-up or jewels. I’m all about the stuff, not the selfies!
I love playing around on Instagram and I am proud to say I have amassed a fair few followers on there now, I like to think a lot of it has to do with my flatlay skills! While I know a fair few people follow me on instagram, I know that different people follow me on different platforms, so I thought it might be nice to do a little blog post, where I post my favourite instagram flatlays to my blog.
Oh and if you want some flatlay inspiration, head over to my Pinterest board which is full of amazing flatlays I have found all around the internet!
I have finally found the confidence to show my mug on my blog lol. It isn’t flawless sadly; but ‘m all about the realism in all its none photo shopped light, well maybe i lighten off the pics a bit to make myself appear younger but that’s all i’m guilty of.
I’m not 100% convinced on the flat lay at the moment because i like bloggers who get up close and personal with their products, but hey! we’ll see. I’m open to new and exciting ventures in blogging. I am slowly trying to come around to Youtube; however, you will not be seeing my face on there, only the products. Great post by the way xx
Your flatlay skills are very on point! Lol. I love it!
xoxo
Flatlays! Ha. I wonder what it is about them we like so much? 🙂
I 100% agree with you – 2015 is year of flatlays! It is some kind of guilty pleasure to look at the endless amount of gorgeous flatlay pics on Instragram and trying to take the perfect one myself.
I love the way you display the products. I think you might have to work on your lighting to get rid of the shadows which take away the viewer’s focus from the product. That said, I love the first black makeup bag.
