Ladies Who Lunch
Over the last few weeks, Ashanti from Adorn Girl and I have been teaming up to eat, drink and be merry in an assortment of fabulous restaurants and coffee shops in London. Today we went to one of my favourite places for afternoon tea in the whole city, Sketch London. I absolutely adore this place, the food, the venue, the service, the toilets (seriously even the toilets are fabulous!) I absolutely adore this Sketch London, it is just a dream!

Guests
Whenever a friend visits me in London and we want to go somewhere really special in London, I nearly always take them to Sketch. It’s one of those places you just have to visit, even if you are only in London for the weekend and you only have the budget for one fancy meal, Sketch is the place to go. It’s just fabulous there is nowhere else quite like it. I recently took some LA stylists I know, they dine in some of the most amazing places all around the world while on tour with a popstar, so I knew I had to take them some place good. They loved it, it’s impossible not to!

Tea
There are so many beautiful blends of tea to choose from; fresh mint, jasmine pearl, chai, oolong, to name a few. All loose leaf and served with a strainer in a David Shrigley designed tea pot and tea cup. If you are not so keen on tea, you can also choose from a wide selection of coffees and champagnes.

Sandwiches
I’m not a big fan of fish or cheese, so I tend to leave quite a few sandwiches which are served with traditional afternoon teas. Sketch are prepared for picky eaters like myself and they have many variations to choose from depending on your dietary requirements; vegan, dairy free, nut free and more. I had the vegan sandwiches, which were filled with delicious salads and chutney’s. Ashanti had the classic afternoon tea sandwiches, which looked incredible, modern takes on classics; like a egg and mayonnaise with quail egg and caviar as well as a warm vegetarian comté croque monsieur. All delicious and you can have as many of them as you want!

Cakes
I tried go easy on the sandwiches as I wanted to save as much space as possible for cakes because the cakes are incredible! Gingerbread macaroons, blueberry éclairs, cassis meringue, clementine cheesecake and so many more. Again, there are more cakes available if you opt for the vegan, nut free or dairy menu. The cakes are a dream, beautiful, tasty and plentiful! Again, if you want more to be brought to you, they will bring as many as you want!

Scones
No afternoon tea is complete without scones and Sketch make amazing fresh, hot scones. They are served with clotted cream and homemade fig and strawberry jam. They are big and beautiful and I may have eaten a few too many as I almost had to be rolled out of the venue!

Pink Parlour
Sketch is located on Conduit Street just between Regent Street and New Bond Street. It is a really convenient central London location and even though it doesn’t look that big from the outside, it is a huge venue on the inside. There are many rooms within Sketch, but my favourite has to be the plush pink parlour. Words can’t really describe how special it is and no photo will ever do it justice either, but it is a beautiful huge room, all pink with plush pink velvet sofas and chairs everywhere. There is framed artwork by David Shrigley all over the walls and he also designed the crockery too. The ceilings are high, the mouldings are beautiful and it has a beautiful plush pink art deco feel.

Infamous Toilets
The toilets in Sketch are legendary. I’m not even kidding, I have instagrammed these loo’s quite a few times and I have often seen them on my feed too. It’s just not every day you pee in an egg shaped capsule with a rainbow coloured roof. These toilets are spectacular!

Must Visit
Sketch is a must visit London restaurant. Personally, I adore the afternoon tea, but you can also go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Different meals are served in different rooms, so if you want the full pink parlour experience, you have to go for afternoon tea. Everything at Sketch is a treat, the service is always amazing (our hostess Jenny couldn’t have been sweeter) the venue is stunning, the food is always fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Sketch is a perfect mix of cool, fabulous, friendly, traditional and modern.

How I love Sketch! Their Gourmet lunch in the lecture room is amazing value for money and I used to love their black star cocktail (vodka, vanilla and olive oil, amazing!)
Wow! This is incredible!
Everything about that place looks amazing!!! I have to admit that those pods kind of freak me out but I’d love to see them.
