What’s in my handbag

I recently got an amazing new handbag, the Moschino Mcdonald’s handbag and I LOVE it! It is so cool and so unusual! I’m so happy a splurged on it! It’s not a huge bag, so I have to be a little more careful with what I carry around in it, I usually do a ‘What’s in my handbag’ post about my big bags, but I thought it would be fun to show how I carry all my essentials around in a smaller sized bag.

Make-up

I tend to put my make-up on in the morning and then just top up the essentials throughout the day. I always rely on smoky eyes or liquid liner to make my eyes pop. I think my eyes are quite small, so I never go for barely there make-up on my eyes.

At the moment I have been using Benefit‘s Big Beautiful Eyes, it has everything I need in this little set; concealer, base, contour shadow and liner shadow (plus mini brushes). It is a cute handbag sized kit and perfect for any touch-ups !

As well as a strong eye, I also like a strong lip and I never go without lipstick. At the moment I am using Tarte Cosmetics lipstick. The case is so pretty it is perfect to carry around in my handbag, I think if you are going to reapply your lipstick in public, make sure the case is beautiful! I love the colour of this lipstick and the staying power is great, but like all lipsticks, it needs a post lunch re-apply.

London is a bit of a dirty city and I always think it is nice to have a mini perfume in your bottle whenever possible, especially if you are rushing around going to different meetings. At the moment I am carrying around a little bottle of Narciso Rodriguez for her, it is really pretty, with florals, musk and amber. Also the glass bottle is really thick, sturdy glass, so I never have to worry about it shattering in my bag.

Purse, Phone, Cash

When I use a small bag, I tend to put my essential cards into a card holder and put my change into the little interior pocket in the handbag. It saves a lot of space. My essential cards are my Oyster card, bank card, Starbucks card and Driving licence. The card holder is by Chanel, I got it years ago and I still love using it every day! Oh and my phone case is by Skinny Dip London, it’s a clear case with glitter and stars which move around inside.

Sunglasses & Jewels

I always carry around sunglasses, as even in the Winter the sun shines bright and I often find myself squinting. These denim framed Ray-bans are so cool! I keep wondering if the edges will fray when they get older, like jeans do!

Am I the only one who always has some spare jewellery floating around inside my handbag?! If I am leaving the house in a hurry I can often forget to put jewellery on, so I always keep a few extra pieces with me, for when I am going into a meeting and I feel my outfit needs a little something extra! My bracelet is by Swarovski from the Stardust collection (a big favourite of mine!) and the ring is JM by Julien Macdonald at QVC, it is a lovely big cocktail ring and it really looks fabulous on!
