Investing in Classics

I fully admit to being a shopaholic and a hoarder, but even I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I pulled this Burberry coat out my wardrobe and said the words ‘I forgot I owned this!’. Oops, right?! Luckily for me, it’s a classic coat and doesn’t really go out of style. It was also a lovely surprise finding it in my wardrobe, it was almost like I had been given a pretty amazing present!

Investing In Classics

While I love buying super fun and colourful clothes and accessories, I also try hard to invest in classics which I care wear and enjoy for years to come. I got these Chanel pieces years ago, both the brooch and necklace was a gift from my boyfriend and I adore them both. I still love putting them on and they look just as good as they did the day I got them! If you invest in classics that you adore, then eventually you will think of them as a great purchase, rather than an extravagant one! If you do loose them in your wardrobe for a year or two (like I did with my coat) when you eventually find it, you will be happy and it will still be on-trend!

Sunglasses In Winter

It has been so sunny this Winter, I feel like I have needed sunglasses pretty much every day. The skies have been clear and the sun has been low and bright. Those polarised sunglasses by Maui Jim really take the glare out of the sun and stop me from squinting. The slightly sportier style of frame makes them more appropriate for Winter days too. It’s important to remember, sunglasses in Winter can be fabulous or tragic, so make sure you only wear them when the sun is bright and keep the frame sporty!
