Smooth Those Puffy Eyes: Benefit ‘Puff Off’ Eye Gel

The arrival of a new Benefit product is always something to get excited about, they don’t bring out many items each year, but whenever they do it is always exciting and it is generally worth the hype. So, say hello to the brand new product from Benefit, ‘Puff Off’ Eye Gel. This is designed to ‘iron away’ puffs around the eye area and smooth the fine lines.

I am a dreadful sleeper, anyone who follows my twitter account will see me tweeting at 3am, this is not scheduled tweets, this is me tweeting stuff while I am awake and bored (#wideawakeclub). Similarly, anyone who follows me on Pinterest will noticed that there is often a lot of new pins on my boards during the night, again, not my elves, this is me looking at pretty pictures in the dead of the night. While my inability to sleep through the night does mean I have some pretty awesome Pinterest boards, it also means I have horrific dark circles. I often wake up in the morning and find I have sore eyes and bags so big, I look like I have partied all night!

Product

Benefit ‘Puff Off’ Eye Gel has an instant cooling effect on the skin, which is exactly what you want from a de-puffing eye product. It feels cool and refreshing and the product soaks in super fast and makes you feel instantly hydrated in the area.

Benefit ‘Puff Off’ Eye Gel does help my eyes look a little healthier. It feels great to apply; cool, smooth and non-sticky. It absorbs fast and I feel like it makes my whole eye area look a little more life-like and it definitely makes me feel a lot better about them. It does smooth out lines and generally helps make the skin under and around my eyes look less puffy and dark and less creased. I have a feeling there might be something in this product to help reflect the light too, which is a massive bonus. As I mentioned it absorbs into the skin fast and once concealer is applied it doesn’t ‘move’ it or alter the texture of the concealer.

Packaging

I can’t not mention the packaging, this is probably one of the coolest things Benefit have ever done. The applicator of this product is actually shaped like a mini iron. Cute right? Not only is the super fun, but it is also a great little tool to apply the product. The tip is made of metal and therefore it is a naturally cool when you apply the product. Also it glides over your eye area and it is really neat, as the iron-shaped applicator only reaches the areas you want it to reach, there is also minimal need for touching this sensitive eye area too with this applicator.

Results

This is a product you use each day and will help in a day-to-day way, I don’t think it has any long term benefits, but it does help my puffiness and general eye area appearance!
