Recently I had Afternoon Tea at the Lancaster London Hotel with my blogging BFF Adorn Girl, we had a pretty busy afternoon of drinking tea, eating scones and mapping out the next 12 months.
New Year Plans
It’s hard making a wish list of all the brands you want to work with, places you want to go and things you want to do in the next year, but if you don’t dream it, you can work towards it. Amazing things land on your lap every day, but if you don’t wish for the extras, you will never get them! 2014 was a pretty incredible year for me, it is amazing how many new followers I have picked up and I am so grateful to everyone who reads my blog. I want to make sure 2015 is just as exciting and hopefully things will only get better.

BFF’s
Blogging can be a pretty solitary thing, a lot of bloggers are scared to share information, tips and tricks with other bloggers. I think it is for fear of giving away trade secrets and being left behind. Personally, I think it is great to find a blogging friend you can share information with and bounce ideas off. I love chatting to Adorn Girl about my plans and she teaches me lots about SEO and what-not and hopefully I help her with things too! Blogging with friends is much more fun and hopefully will make you both stronger!
Afternoon Tea Attire
When one is taking afternoon tea, she must always be well dressed. For the occasion I wore a vintage dress with a big lace collar, feather necklace and Kitty Shoes. I put on my most glamorous perfume, Jo Malone Red Roses and use Paul & Joe’s red lipstick, it is a darker shade of red to what I usually wear, as I wanted it to match my dress.
Lancaster London Hotel
The Lancaster London have the most fabulous afternoon tea. They have a vast sitting room where the chairs are like sofa and they encourage you to take the afternoon to eat and drink. We were greeted with champagne (of course!) and then we drank peppermint tea while we ate sandwiches filled with cucumber, egg and cress, smoked salmon and more. I’m not so into sandwiches myself, but these were delicious, but I tried not to eat too many of them so I had plenty of room for scones, cream and jam. I go nuts for scones and it is so rare I have them, as I only ever have them when I have afternoon tea. These were delicious and the compote was made with big chunks of real fruit, just as it should be.
Tea and Cakes
After scones we were asked if we wanted any more, I figured why not, and had a second round of scones, before we indulged in a huge array of cakes and treats! My bingo wings and I love a good cake and I was in heaven, lemon tarts, macaroons, cake pops and so much more!
Coffee and Cakes
Once we had eaten a whole stack of cakes, we decided we needed lattes and extra macaroons (as they were just so delicious, not because we were hungry!) while we set about making lists, plans and dreams for 2015!
Thank you for having us Lancaster London, we loved it!
