Recently in London it has been cold, wet and quite frankly, a little miserable. On these days you have two choices, stay at home and feel sorry for yourself, or dress in clothes which are cute but cosy. Recently, I have been working with John Lewis to share #MyShoeStory, I’m excited to tell you about my new Winter boots!
About 10 years ago, Ugg boots were crazy fashionable, then a few years later, they became really unfashionable. Now, they are cool again, thanks to their new lease of life with their Creative Council. I’m a big fan of Ugg boots these days, I love to be warm, cosy and dry (did you know Uggs are showerproof?) while the rest of the world is cold and soggy!
Ugg boots can look super cool when worn with a fringed leather jacket, long silver chains, skinny jeans and a beanie hat. Quite 70’s-rock’n’roll-goth.
How to wear
I am also a fan of wearing a 60’s dress with a pair of Ugg boots. I think there is something really cute about a short 60’s hemline, pea coat and chunky Ugg boots. It’s a really fun look!
Finally, I love to wear my Ugg boots in a 90’s-hip-hop-ghetto girl way. Think bomber jackets, hoop earrings, gold chains and vintage Moschino.
For the last couple of weeks I have been wearing my Ugg Boots loads, I have been to a million meetings, press days and appointments in them and I have been happy, warm and dry and I think they have looked pretty good!
What’s your shoe story?
Already in them) but I prefer their “mini” model…cool pics and I love ur red lipstick)
Cute! I’ve yet to get out my Uggs for the year (though, it is blowing snow so I suppose now is the time?) I never worry too much about whether or not Uggs are in at the moment. The facts are they reduce my chance of frostbite and are quite comfy, so really, why not? Nice post, thanks for sharing!
