Antonia Burrell Radiant Light Facial Oil Serum – Regular readers of my blog will know I love Antonia Burrell’s skin care range, in fact, I hosted a giveaway with her earlier this year. What don’t I love about this facial oil serum?! Not much really! I would say it is more of a face oil rather than a serum. It smells amazing, it glides over the skin and a little goes a long way. The bottle is tiny and it isn’t cheap, but it really does last as you literally use just a few drops. Personally, I use this oil at night as I don’t tend to use oils in the morning. The smell is really relaxing and indulgent in the evening and it feels so rich and nourishing on my skin. It soaks in nicely overnight and in the morning my skin is really soft and hydrated. Totally worth every penny… love it!
Le Couvent des Minimes Lip Balm – They are part of the L’occitaine brand. A little less glamorous and a little less luxe, but still lovely. While you might buy l’occitaine for your mum or best friend, LCM is more something you would buy for a teacher or aunt. A nice gift, not a fabulous gift. This lip balm is a great little tube to have in the bottom of your bag. It’s a natural balm, nourishing and lasts well. Personally, I’m not a fan of the mint, so I would get it next time in a different scent. Product wise though, this is a great lip balm at a great price.
Aromatherapy Associates Eye Serum – I first tried a candle by Aromatherapy Associates and I was really impressed, so I wanted to try a little more! This eye serum comes out as a gel, personally, I am really careful with this pump as I feel like a little more comes out than I want it to each pump. I love the smell of this product, you can really smell the frankincense in it, which as we all know, is naturally great for your skin. I feel like this product goes on really well, it gives me skin a little bit of a tingle, which I like, as it feels like it’s tightening up my skin. It does feel a little sticky on the skin, but I love the way it feels like it is tightening up my lines and wrinkles!
The Body Shop ‘Red Musk’ Eau de Parfum – I went to the press preview for this perfume. It was a really interesting event, they made a lot of effort and they had a great concept for the full event, they talked all about the history of perfume as well as The Body Shops long relationship with perfumes; white musk, fruit scents and soft feminine perfumes. Then they led you into a room that was everything that The Body Shop is not…Think Red, lots of red and black; long legs, fishnets, high heels, smoke, spice, night, bars, tobacco, heat. That’s what this perfume is all about, no florals, not prettiness, it’s heat and late night sexy. I love the fact The Body Shop have surprised me with this perfume, it smells good and it’s nice and unusual, it also doesn’t have that first whiff of alcohol which a lot of perfumes of this price do. Personally, I find this perfume a little too sexy for me, I like my scents a little more ‘wealthy older lady’ and this is just too modern and sexy for me. While it’s not my style, it is well worth popping in store to check out!
Hope you liked my beauty reviews!
