Today is Sunday and my boyfriend is still ill. We only left the flat briefly to buy coffee and cakes, but I wanted to wear this tweed coat as it has been too warm all summer and now there is a chill in the air, I am taking full advantage of it! I bought this coat during the heatwave this summer. It was £5 from a charity shop and even though when I bought it, it was so hot I could barely try it on, I knew it was too good to leave. I figured Autumn would roll around soon enough and when it did, I would have a fabulous new coat. After all, you can never own enough tweed!
My jumper is by Sweaty Betty, it is pretty much the softest, warmest and most comfortable top in the world. I love the cowl neck and sporty details like the thumb holes on the sleeves and drawstring neck. I didn’t immediately look at it and think ‘Oh! That would look good with tweed!’, but I wanted to wear it because it’s so soft and comfortable, I think it looks quite good with the coat though.
Sportswear and tweed… two things your don’t normally see together. Who knows, maybe it will catch on!
