I may have spent the whole of my Saturday working away behind my computer screen, but today was a lot more fun!
We headed to Chelsea/Pimlico area for lunch, we had been told the Sunday Roast at No.11 Pimlico Road is *amazing* and we couldn’t wait to check it out. We actually ended up ordering burgers and brunch because it was too warm for a hearty roast. I had a bacon sandwich and a side of chips, and my man had the burger, which also came with a side of chips and we shared the avocado salad. I had total food envy when my boyfriends burger came out. It was EPIC! Two burger patties, bacon, salad, blue cheese, relish… basically everything, as well as a good portion of chips with aioli, oh and it came on a brioche bun!
My bacon roll was pretty good, but if I am honest, I should have ordered the bacon crispy, as it was streaky bacon and way too fatty for my taste, but I discarded the bits I didn’t want and I still had a pretty darn delicious bacon roll, again served on a brioche bun. The chips were delicious and perfectly indulgent for a Sunday lunch. The avocado salad was one of the best I have ever had, it was huge chunks of avocado, spring onion, lemon and chilli oil. Delish! Everything was so tasty and so fresh!
If you are in the Chelsea/Pimlico area and you want a spot of lunch, No.11 is really lovely. It’s a really beautiful venue, beautifully decorated, relaxed service so you can sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch and the food is really great too, for the area, the prices are reasonable too, especially for the area. Chelsea is such a beautiful area to wonder around, the buildings, the shops, everything there is just lovely!
The dress code at No. 11 is very Chelsea. Most of the men were wearing open collar shirts with jumpers tied around there necks and chinos. Women wearing jeans with boots over them and some kind of tweed or linen jacket, I saw other women in casual jeans and simple knitwear with a Birkin bag.
After lunch, my man insisted we had to go to Chanel to look at the new collection in store. We foolishly headed to the nearest branch on Sloane Street, which was of course closed as it is a Sunday. I couldn’t resist taking some pictures of the window display to share with you all… isn’t it fabulous?!
So we hopped on the tube and went to the Bond Street store, we love this store, it is so beautiful and the staff there are always so friendly and helpful. They always remember you, offer you drinks and have a nice chat and share extra information with you about the products. The Chanel AW15 collection is so cool, the show was ‘set’ in a supermarket and there are loads of cool accessories like the Chanel shopping basket, keyring bottle opener, sweets necklaces, handbags in plastic boxes and shopper handbags. Really cool!
The jewellery I have spied online is not yet in store, so we looked at the handbags which are really fun this season and then we went upstairs to check out the shoes. This season at Chanel is all about the trainers, while I’m not a trainers freak, I went crazy for one pair. Wowzer, black tweed with multicoloured threads running through and gold holographic leather! Swoon! Even though the collection only landed in store a couple of days ago, the trainers had already sold out in most sizes, including my size. I tried them on in the closest size, but they were too big, my boyfriend was ready to buy them for me, but they were just a bit too big. I’m in Paris next week, so you never know…
Today I wore a simple black dress from ASOS, with black Pretty Polly tights, Hush Puppies boots and my green Chanel bag.
My mouth is watering! And Chanel is my absolute favorite. I have a Chanel bag but I just keep it on display in my room because I’m took scared to walk around with it! Haha! Great post 🙂
Oh my god! that Chanel photos…..is there anything more beautiful? I love that collection – every bit of it! Agree with Katie S. Apart from if you have something you really like I say you wear it, life is too short. Although…I lost my only Chanel thing (ring) in a toilet of Frankfurt Airport((
Oh no. That makes me so sad for you. I hope you get another some time xxx
I LOVE FOOD and that pretend guacamole looks divine! I mean those spring onions… yummmm
