Anyone in Europe reading my blog will be thinking ‘This brand isn’t new!’, so please bare with me, us Brits are new to the brand!
Back in 1915, a Spanish shoe maker named Gregorio made a plimsoll, he named it Victoria, after his wife. Since then, Victoria plimsolls have been a staple in the wardrobes of Spain and London is falling in Love with them too! Victoria Plimsolls are big in Spain and also super popular in Europe, it is just in England we are totally behind.Victoria Plimsolls have just opened a 6 month long pop-up store in East London’s Boxpark. As a Bethnal Green girl, I’m always around the area and I like to keep up-to-date with all the new shops, cafes and restaurants. It is a harder job than you think, there is always something new opening, but as a local girl, I try to make sure I squeeze as much of it in as I can! In the short time the Victoria Plimsolls shop has been open, it has already created a massive buzz in the area, the shop is super cute and it is constantly busy. Victoria Plimsolls have everything the hipsters of East London want; a pop-up shop in Boxpark, a brand with heritage, a rainbow selection of plimsolls and all at a really affordable price.
The thing about Victoria Plimsolls is that they are really comfortable, well made and they look cool. They have good ethics and they are a cool brand to be seen in. I couldn’t resist picking a pair of snazzy gold flatforms, I just thought they were so super cool, but if these are not to your taste, there is a whole heap of colours and styles to choose from!
The Boxpark pop-up shop will be open for 6 months, but if you are not in the East London area, you can buy them online.
Ooh Kirsty I spotted these in a local shop on the Island and really loved them so thanks for the reminder. Your glitzy ones are beautiful!
Love them!
