Time really does fly! I can’t believe it is almost father’s day again! Wowzer! So it is always super hard to know what to buy for any dad, I know my dad likes items which are practical and useful. He really doesn’t like gifts which will just go to waste and clutter a shelf… unlike me, I love silly little things that will sit on my shelves, with no purpose except they are cute or funny! Here is my fathers day gift guide!
If you have a limited budget, maybe skincare is a good place to start, Bulldog have some great little sets of natural skin care which are also really affordable. It’s a nice gift which won’t break the bank and a whole lot nicer than giving Lynx! Bulldog do great affordable natural skin care, which is made for men. My boyfriend has tried and tested this range and it is great, especially for the price tag!
Last Christmas I gave my dad a few bits and bobs, and one of them was a scented candle. It’s not the kind of thing I would normally give my dad, but I took a gamble and it paid off. As I hoped, he kept it in his study and let it burn while he worked. He really loved it, and even my mum commented on how much he had been using it. My mother often burns scented candles, but they are floral and fruity scents and always feminine. So when I bought a scent candle for my dad, I made sure it was a masculine scent, like amber of lavender. I think this time round I would choose him the True Grace Amber scented candle. It is incredible; lemon and bergamot. Mixed with amber, lavender, violet and jasmine. Base notes and vanilla and musk, making it a warm, rich, smokey masculine scent. True Grace make beautiful British made products, always natural and always such a treat. This candle is perfect for a man, from the scent to the smokey glass Jar. Perfect! We all love Molton Brown, their products are amazing; they are natural, made in England and have beautifully blended scents. There is nothing not to love about this brand and even The Queen loves Molton Brown, as in 2013 they were awarded a Royal Warrant for their toiletries. Pretty amazing right? From Shower gels, to skin care and shaving products, men go crazy for Molton Brown. It is my boyfriends must-have bathroom brand and I know he is not the only man who adores what they do. Every christmas when he is given a million different shower gels, he always says to me he would rather just have one bottle of Molton Brown. If you have a little more budget to play with this Father’s day and you want to buy your dad something for the bathroom, you can’t go wrong with Molton Brown! My boyfriend is currently using the face wash, shaving gel and recovery balm and he loves it. If you dad has a beard, then why not try and bath & shower gel instead?
Perhaps your dad has a fully stocked bathroom and you want to buy him something a little different, then why not try a leather bound note book? I recently discovered the brand William & Son, they are shotgun & riffle makers based in Mayfair. They make their products on-site in their flagship store and they have an incredibly beautiful line of country wear too; thick knits, tweeds and cashmere. They also have some great gift items like scarves, tumblers, hip flasks and leather bound note books. Dad’s love real quality items which are made in England and this store could be the place for you, I love this note book, it is made from thick ivory coloured paper and bound in leather and embossed simply with ‘Notes’, it is useful, quality and masculine. Look how chic it looks with a Mont Blanc pen, this is how a man dresses to impress!
On the subject of leather, a new belt can be a great gift for any dad, either a casual belt to wear with jeans, or a smart leather belt to wear with a suit. My man recently bought himself a new belt from Hugo Boss, it is a simple classic design, great quality leather and made in Italy. A good quality belt is a great gift as it is something he will use every day!
I recently bought my boyfriend an Aspinal of London passport cover, it is black leather, with gold detailing, including his monogram in the corner. He loved it and I’m so happy I bought it for him, it got me thinking about what a beautiful gift it makes for a man. Simple, chic and practical!
What do you think of these gifts?
Beauty products are actually a really great idea for men.
What a great Father’s Day gift guide! Thank you for sharing!
