Beauty Reviews!

Oh la la! Time for some more beauty reviews!

fashion for lunch beauty reviews

John Frida Sheer Blonde Hair Oil – I’m a massive fan of hair oils, they improve your condition greatly! They are so good!! It’s no secret I am a fan of the hair bleach, so a good hair oil really helps the condition of my hair. This John Frida hair oil is perfect for me, as it is actually created for blonde hair. I have also been using the Sheer Blonde Shampoo and conditioner (more about that in a second), and even when my hair is coming towards needing my roots refreshed, this range has really helped keep the colour fresh and blonde. While I do think that the shampoo and conditioner have been the key to keeping the colour good, I think this hair oil is a great nourishing oil which helps keep it blonde, as sometimes I feel hair oil can make it appear slightly darker or a little dull. A great hair oil for bleached blonde girls!

Shavata Eyebrow Pencil – I’m a massive fan of eyebrows and I have recently been using the Benefit Gimme Brow product, which I really love, but I’m running low on it. So I have started using Shavata Eyebrow pencil. At first I was confused by it, as it is double ended and has two shades; dusk and dawn. I assumed I was meant to pick the colour which was best for me, and then the other colour would be completely wasted. Then I realised I got a much nicer effect if I used a little Dusk and a little Dawn on my brows. It gives a nicer, richer colour and you can use a little Dusk and a lot of Dawn, or a lot of Dawn and less Dusk, depending on your colouring! It gives a really nice effect and it’s a really good eyebrow pencil. For me, I don’t like it *quite* as much as Benefit’s Gimme Brow (which is a liquid/mascara style application) but this is one of the best eyebrows pencils I have ever used. The colours are great, the texture is good and it applies really easily! A lot of eyebrow pencils are too dark for me, but this is good as you can tailor it to your colouring with the two shades!

Aromatherapy Associates Rose Body Wash – Oh this is such a dreamy shower gel! I have a travel set by this brand and all the products in it are amazing, but this rose body was is so nice that I did not want to leave it in the bathroom for anyone else to use! It is beautifully scented with roses and it is the perfect shower gel for a weekend. It eases you into the day and makes you feel happy, peaceful and balanced. Oh and it washes me too!

John Frida Sheer Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner – I have bleached blonde hair and I love the colour but it can get darker with the wrong shampoos. This Sheer Blonde shampoo and condition is great, as it keeps my hair the colour I want it, pale blonde. Sometimes when I am due to do my roots, my whole hair can seem a little dark and lack-luster and this has really helped keep the colour fresh, even when it is starting to get a little old and tired. It also washes my hair well, removes all product and leaves my hair soft and clean. A girl with bleached hair has to look after her colour and I am really impressed with this product!

I’m mad about hair oils too and I have loads, but not this one (yet).
I love the Sheer Blonde range too. I would recommend the ‘Colour Renew’ tone correcting conditioner. 4 weeks after my colour, my hair takes on a slightly brassy edge and this conditioner calms it down.
