Oh Hi! Have you seen my new Lazy Oaf cat dress? I am a huge fan of their frocks, the designs are great, the fabrics are always nice quality and the cuts are always spot on and *I think* flattering. I wasn’t sure if I could pull off this cat face dress, but actually, the face is embroidered black on black, so it’s quite subtle.
This bag was inspired by the poet Keats and the love letters he wrote to his fiancé. The envelope at the front is the perfect place to store the notes he sent to her. Last week I spent the morning with Radley in the house where Keats lived when he wrote his most famous works. He died at such a young age and at the time of his death he was unrecognised and he felt he had accomplished so little with his life that he didn’t even want his tombstone to bare his name. It was so sad hearing about his life, I almost felt a little teary. If you are in Hampstead Heath area, it’s definitely worth a visit.
I always wear my Cartier Love ring and my engagement ring, but I love adding in extra stackable rings. At the moment I am wearing this cute Pandora Bow Ring which I was kindly sent from Etail pr. Isn’t it cute?!
It is starting to get chilly out there, but the sun is as bright as it was in the height of Summer, so I am still rocking my Ray Ban Sunglasses. It might be time to put the statement sunglasses away, but Ray Ban’s never need to be put into hibernation!
Shop my Look?
This weekend it was my birthday! It was filled with lots of gifts, cakes, burgers, shopping and fun. I got lots of beautiful gifts, but the main attraction has to be this stunning Moschino bucket bag which my boyfriend gave me! He knows I love Moschino as I own enough of it (both modern and vintage) and I always drag him into the boutique to droll over, well, everything! For the last few months he been pretending he didn’t like the current collection, and it turns out, it was a bluff as was planning on buying me something for my birthday!
I couldn’t be more excited to add this little gem into my Moschino collection, I love the bright yellow with the multi-coloured charm letters and the long shoulder strap. I’m really into bucket bags at the moment and this is one is so good it kills me! I’m so happy with it!!
I always wear my favourite things on my birthday, it just is more fun! So despite the morning rain, I wore my new bag along with my current favourite Lazy Oaf dress with some of my favourite jewels. We headed out for milkshake and burgers and practically rolled down the street back to our flat as we were so stuffed! I might be another year older, but this new handbag helps soften the blow!
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Don’t you just love those pockets of London where all the cool independent stores are? I rarely go shopping on Oxford Street, but I am often just behind it, on Carnaby Street and the surrounding streets. After all, this is where you find all the coolest stores; Monki, Lazy Oaf, Cheap Monday, Barbour, American Apparel, ElevenParis, Dr Martens and so many more. In fact, it’s such a great area, that some of these brand only have one UK shop and they chose to open it here. Many of the others have their flagship stores here. That’s kind of impressive!
Carnaby Shopping Party
Carnaby Street has a rich history, it was the geographical heart of the Swinging 60’s and it is just as relevant now as it was then. It’s a great location, as it is just behind Oxford Circus and super easy to get to and it’s impossible to get lost trying to get there (am I the only one who struggles to find Notting Hill Market when I get off the tube at Notting Hill Gate?!) They also host really fun shopping evenings once in a while too, where there is DJ’s, drinks, nibbles, discounts and fun activities. The next one is on the 28th May, there will be a 20% discount at most of the stores and it will be a great evening! If you want to go, just register just register at Carnaby.co.uk, you can read more about what’s going on here.
Whilst I was shopping in the Carnaby area, I picked up this super cute dress from Lazy Oaf, I love the smock shape and the print. It’s easy to wear, really comfortable and super fun. Lazy Oaf is literally one of the cutest shops in London and visiting is a *must*! My duster coat is from Monki, it was a real steal price-wise, I picked it because I know I will be able to wear it loads during the summer. It updates every Summer dress and has a really smart, modern look without being too warm on hot days! As for my boots, well they are by the super cool shoe brand Vagabond and available at Office. I have blogged about my love of Vagabond before, they are really cool designs and really comfortable. As for my bag, I got it on sale at American Apparel, it isn’t avilable online, so if you want one, you have to go to the Carnaby Street store, where they had a good selection. I love the simple pouch design and it cost less than £10! Yikes!

See you at the Carnaby Shopping Party on the 28th May!
I have a bit of a burger / Americana obsession at the moment. It started about ten years ago and since then I have dipped in and out of it, depending on my mood. It first started when I loved the band, Gravy Train!! Remember them? Hunx, Punx, Drunx and Chunx singing electro-pop-punk songs about burgers, sex and parties. Pretty awesome! It wasn’t very easy to find burger themed items back then, but I hunted down some pretty cool things; burger badges, a telephone, CD holder, purses and probably some other bits and bobs. I can’t really remember to be honest! It wasn’t a motif that you often saw on the high street, so you often had to search high and low for these things in vintage stores and alternative shops.
Over the years I amassed some pretty cool fast food / candy / fruit / general food themed items. From jewellery to scarves, dresses to home-wears. When I see something foodie and fun, I generally want to buy it!
Jeremy Scott X Moschino
Last season Jeremy Scott became the creative director of Moschino. I have loved Moschino for a good long time now, I can remember seeing the iconic letter belts as a child in the late 80’s/early 90’s and thinking they were awesome. For decades, they have been making super fun designer clothing. I have a lot of vintage Moschino in my wardrobe and I would happily add many more pieces to the collection. When Jeremy Scott became the head of Moschino I knew it was bound to be pretty cool. He has been making his own line for years and he has done some amazing collabs with Adidas and Longchamp. I still wish I had bought the telephone print Longchamp bag and his hot dog prints was to die for! His first collection for Moschino was partly themed around Mcdonalds and so my food / fashion obsession raised it’s bingo-winged arm again. The golden arches have never looked so cool and I want burgers and fries with every outfit! He designed playful versions of the Mcdonald’s uniforms and cool jumpers and tee shirts with the classic ‘M’ logo on. So good!
A couple of weeks ago, the Christmas / January sales started as as soon as the prices dropped (slightly), I snapped up a couple of pieces from the Moschino collection! A few days later when I unwrapped the package, I suddenly realised the last few purchases I have made have been junk food and Americana themed. I thought I would gather them up and show them to you all, you know… just for fun!
This is just the start
Perhaps next week I will show some other food themed fashion items I have bought recently, this is only a small part of it!
I love a bit of Lazy Oaf, they are fun, great prices, cute, quirky, independent and British… What’s not to love?
I also love a bit of Nasty Gal, they are badass and American, put the two brands together and you get a pretty cool collaboration.
I love this Lazy Oaf X Nasty Gal collaboration…. It’s just fun and it’s cool!
Only question is, which piece to buy!?
