Add A Little Luxury Into Your Stocking Fillers!
When it comes to stocking fillers, there’s always a temptation to load your shopping basket up with novelty gifts, supermarket chocolates and generic beauty sets. If you are all about the luxe life, then maybe it’s time to fill your stockings to reflect your what you, and your family, really love! Here are some sweet treats which add a little luxury to your stocking!
Bobbi Brown Treats
The wonderful thing about Bobbi Brown is that they are completely ageless. I Love their make up, my sister is a huge fan and my mum has been wearing it for years. Between the three of us there is a 40 year age gap and whilst my sister loves the slick packaging, great coverage and stunning contour products, my mum adores their classic nude-to-smoky eyeshadow palettes and skincare collection. In short, no matter what age woman you are buying for, Bobbi Brown is always a great choice. You don’t need to buy a big bummer gift set, just a lipstick, handbag palette or blush / bronzer will be a real treat!
Margaret Dabbs Fabulous Nutcracker
Margaret Dabbs is the Queen of hand and foot care! I have been for a couple of pedicures with her (both gifts from my boyfriend!) and I have worked my way through many tubs of their foot cream and hand serum too. This ‘Fabulous Nutcracker’ contains a crystal nail file (the best!) a super shiner buffer (essential!) and their iconic nail and cuticle serum (you’ll never want to use anything else). All neatly packaged in a nutcracker style box!
Orla Kiely Phone Case
It’s oh-so-temping to buy a basic budget phone case from the shop down the road, or one of the overpriced leather ones from the apple store because it’s convenient when you get your new phone. However, do either of these really make any of us happy?! I think not! Phone cases are such an important accessory thee days and it’s nice to have one which represents your taste as well as protect your phone. Surprise surprise! I’m recommending this beautiful Orla Kiely X Venom Communications iPhone Case. Isn’t it lovely?!
I have only used Space Masks once, but damn! I became an instant fan and I couldn’t resist popping them into this post. Seriously, lie in bed, put on a space mask and close your eyes. It heats up and soothes your eyes and soul. I wasn’t even ready to go to sleep when I used mine, I still had the side light on I’m not even sure I was quite ready for bed, but the next thing I knew, it was morning. Such an indulgent gift! A box of 5 costs £15 and they are incredible if your friend has trouble sleeping or has a long haul flight coming up.
Clarins Lip Oils
I recommend Clarins Lip Oils at every possible opportunity because they are flippin’ brilliant! They are super hydrating and nourishing like a lip balm, but also give a lovely glossy finish without the stickiness of a gloss. Plus you can wear them over a lipstick to give a glossy finish without the danger of them making your lipstick bleed all over your face! Such a wonderfully luxe stocking filler which will soon become a handbag essential for whomever you give one to!
L’Occitane Lavender Bath Soak
This is a great luxury stocking filler for a man or woman. Seriously, there’s something about the lavender scent which men love as much as us ladies, plus it’s awesome if you are a troubled sleeper as it’s really going to help sooth the soul and help your loved one drift off to sleep. Seriously, L’Occitane Lavender Bath Soak is amazing!
I am forever a HUGE fan of Guerlain, from their make-up to their skincare and fragrances. I just adore everything they do! If you are looking for something really beautiful and luxe for a lady with a vintage soul, then I have the perfect Guerlain treats for you! These limited edition pieces have been re-released in stunning gold packaging, perfect for the festive period and they make the most beautiful christmas stocking fillers! Personally, I would recommend Terracotta bronzer or Météorities face powder pearls. Stunning!
Nip + Fab Sheet Masks
Get the fire roaring, the sheet mask on, a chocolate buttons in one hand and the remote in the other and enjoy the festive period!!! These Nip + Fab Sheet Masks are my current favourite, they might make me look scarier than a serial killer, but once I’m done, my skin looks phenomenal. Plus for around £5-£7 each, they are a seriously luxurious and fabulous stocking filler!
Bodhi & Birch Bath & Shower Therapy
My boyfriend always says he would rather have one bottle of a luxury shower gel than a huge bumper gif set of something basic from the high street. Cheaper shower gels tend to use less good ingredients and are often heavily watered down so you have to use sooooo much for one shower. How about skip the Boots 3-for-2 and opt for just one fabulous bottle of Bodhi & Birch Bath & Shower Therapy. My favourite is Camomile Sky, it smells stunning and it can be used in the shower (or shower, if you prefer!) Perfect!
Aromatherapy Associates ‘Relax’ Candle
Ok, so technically you could put any scented candle in a stocking, but I am a HUGE fan of Aromatherapy Associates, especially their Relax candle which is perfect for cosy winter evenings. It’s filled with notes of Lavender, West Indian bay and myrrh essential and it’s so soothing and relaxing. Ideal if your buddy is a troubled sleeper or just needs to focus a little more on self care and relaxation. It’s absolutely stunning!
Finally, I LOVE getting new slippers and pyjamas at christmas time because generally I get a pair at Christmas and wear them the whole year until they are worn out. Last year I got a pair of Tom’s Slippers which I have worn and loved all year, this year, I’ve just discovered the glorious website Just Sheepskin, where they have oodles of sheepskin accessories including slippers. I got my boyfriend a pair for christmas and I’m kinda hoping he’s ordered me a pair too. I mean seriously, could they be any cosier?!
So there we have it, single luxury treats which can be wrapped up on their own (or as a bundle of two or three) to add a little luxury into your stocking this christmas!
