Fenwick of Bond Street
It’s hard to believe, but Fenwick of Bond Street is turning 125 years old this year! To mark the occasion they have a whole heap of amazing birthday treats, including a super special in-store exhibition of Millinery, Decades of Drama. I popped in the other day to see it for 5 minutes, but 5 minutes quickly turned into 20 minutes and one snapshot on my phone (for instagram of course!) turned into 50 photos on my camera. This exhibition is small, but beautiful and if you are in the area, it’s well worth popping in to see it.
‘Decades of Drama’
The exhibition featured 13 bespoke hat designs, each on designed and created by masters of modern millinery; Stephen Jones, Noel Stewart, Philip Treacy and my personal favourite, Piers Atkinson. Each hat represents a decade of style, one for each year the store has been serving their stylish customers. Alongside this Decades of Drama exhibition, there is also is also an opportunity to Meet The Milliners and have a one-to-one appointment (see details here).
If you want to get your hands on one of these very special bespoke hats, then you are in luck! They are currently being auctioned off store or online here and all proceeds go to Brain Tumour Trust. FYI, If anyone wants to buy me the Piers Atkinson Rainbow Cherry hat, I would be mega grateful!
Visit the Fenwick of Bond Street Decades Of Drama during shop opening hours between Thursday 18th May – Thursday 2nd June 2016.
